At Nonni’s NY Pizzeria, we believe in high quality ingredients. But Nonni’s knows its about more than just pizza. Nonni’s Pizza Project is a literacy reward program born out of the love we have for our community and our schools.
Simple!
Set monthly reading goals for your students. When they meet their goal, reward them with a Nonni’s Pizza Project Award, good for one free slice of cheese pizza and a small fountain drink.
Goals should be based on each student’s reading ability.

Nonni’s knows that each student is unique. That’s why we don’t set or monitor reading goals. As the teacher, you know your students best.
AR points, number of pages or number of books? We’ll let you decide in good faith what that goal should be!

What is Nonni’s Pizza Project?
Nonni’s Pizza Project is a free reading incentive program provided by Nonni’s N.Y. Pizzeria in Paris, TN. The program was born out of love and commitment to our community in order to promote literacy in our schools.
Who is eligible for Nonni’s Pizza Project?
Educators who meet the following requirements are eligible to register their classroom for Nonni’s Pizza Project:
- Work in the Paris Special School District OR Henry County School System
- Teach ELA/Reading in Grades Pre-K through 8th

What if I’m not an ELA/Reading Teacher?
Encourage your ELA/Reading partner teacher to register! That way, your students will still have the opportunity to earn in their ELA/Reading class!

When does Nonni’s Pizza Project start?
Nonni’s Pizza Project is available from September to April each academic year.
Is there a deadline for enrollment?
Enrollment is ALWAYS open! Educators must enroll each academic year and remain in good standing with the program.
Can I register my entire school/campus or share my certificates?
Unforunately, no. Enrollment is on a class-by-class basis, and award certificates are specific to the registered educator.
How do I enroll?
Simply fill out the form above and we will verify that you are who you say you are, and do what you say you do. You should receive your digital welcome kit within 48 hours of approval.
What do I get with enrollment?
Educators who enroll their class are given an opportunity to incentivize literacy for their students! You will receive a digital welcome kit that includes a personalized printable PDF for your classroom, informational handouts, and more!
What is an acceptable reading goal?
You know your students and their reading level better than anyone. Nonni’s doesn’t set or monitor reading goals. You will be responsible for determining if you student has met their individual goal.
Can I give reading awards as a gift/prize?
Nonni’s Pizza Project rewards should be earned for completing reading goals, and should not be used as gifts or prizes.
How do I reward a student for meeting their reading goal?
When a student has met their reading goal, fill out a Nonni’s Pizza Project Award and give it to them. We’ll take care of the rest!
What does the student receive with their reward?
Students may redeem their reward certificate for one (1) slice of cheese pizza and one (1) small fountain drink.
How often can a student earn a reward?
Students may earn and redeem one (1) Nonni’s Pizza Project Award per calendar month, from September to April of the current academic year. Awards are issued upon reaching their teacher-approved reading goal.
Do the rewards expire?
Yes. Students will have 30 calendar days from the date earned to redeem their certificate at Nonni’s N.Y. Pizzeria in Downtown Paris, TN.
Can rewards be used for delivery?
No. Rewards are redeemable in person or for carry-out only. No delivery.
Can students save up and redeem multiple rewards together?
Unfortunately, no. Only one reward may be redeemed per student, per visit. As rewards are available once per month and expire after 30 days of issue, it’d likely be tough, anyway.
